As I sit here eating an entire bag of chips, I will update. Last week, I finally felt peanut move from the outside. It was very faint and just once but there it was. I've been feeling "turning over" movement from inside for a couple of weeks now. It's very hard to believe that I am only 5 short weeks away from half way there.

Grace came up to me the other night while I was sitting on the couch and wanted to kiss Peanut. She lifted my shirt and kissed my belly. I can't wait until she can feel and see the baby moving. She told daddy last night that she wants the "blue team." We will see in 6 short weeks.

Doctor appt. today went well. My blood pressure was good. I've gained 1 pound in 4 weeks. I'm sure that will get better now that the nausea is over. My mom went with me to hear the heartbeat.

He didn't say what it was exactly but that "it sounds like a girl." Yep, that's what he said. I said, "uh oh". Doc said, "did you order a boy?" I said, "yeah, we ordered a boy." He told me to keep my receipt. Ahhh, if it were only that easy.

In 4 weeks we'll do the MSAFP then in 8 weeks will be THE ultrasound. So, my new countdown date will be September 8. Then we can see if my mom is right (she says boy) or if the doc is right. :)

I'm not very good at this blogging thing. I think about it everyday but never sit down to actually write anything. I guess there isn't much to say right now. All the days are pretty much the same. The cravings hit suddenly. The other night I wanted a Italian Chicken Sandwich from Burger King. Grace was asleep, Phil was at work and I had no car. Oh well, doesn't matter too much since they don't even have those anymore. :) I still find it hard to eat a lot of food. Not that it makes me sick or anything, just nothing sounds good. The nausea, for the most part, has gone away. **Knock on wood** I've attached the latest belly shot. This was a week ago when I was 9 weeks and 5 days.

So, yesterday I wasn't feeling great so I didn't update about our doctor's appointment on Monday. We met our new doctor. He seems really nice. We told him our concern about how quick my labor was with Grace. You know they say that the 2nd time around, labor is usually half the time. I just want to be prepared this time. It's still too early to hear the heartbeat with the doppler so we will do that next time. He said one or two more ultrasounds. One around the 20 week mark. I figure that one will be around the 2nd week of September when I'm 21 weeks. Hopefully peanut cooperates and we can see if we will be pink team again or if we are switching sides. Our next appointment is in 4 weeks (July 9). Just 5 short days after my baby turns 2. **sniff**

Of course Peanut couldn't give me 2 good days in a row. Today was crappy until about 4:30 or so. Grace is exhausting. She loves for you to spin her around. I get dizzy and tired quickly from doing that. How can you not do it though when you hear that deep belly laugh. Best sound ever. We keep asking her is she wants a brother or sister and she just says "no." :)

Oh my, 2 posts in 1 day. My new favorite things are mini saltines with slices of block cheddar cheese on top. Yummy. And, Edy's fruit bars popsicles! I have, for the most part, given up caffeine. No headaches yet which surprises me.

I've pulled out my box of maternity clothes. They are washed and ready for wear :) My pants are starting to get uncomfortable. Tops still fit okay. I'm just looking forward to doing a little "momma" shopping ;)

Today has been great! I got a full night sleep last night (as in, no waking to go pee or get something to drink). Very rare but it was great! I got up today and was able to make breakfast for Grace, do laundry, clean the house a little, and even cook some beef stew so my husband doesn't have to eat soup or hot pockets at work for dinner. Sometimes I feel like a horrible wife and mother because the house isn't as clean as I'd like it and I can't cook meals much but when your body says you can't...you just can't. It's funny how something that barely has fingers and toes controls every part of who you are.

Well, I'm officially 8 weeks today. 4 more weeks to go until we are more in the clear for the chance of a miscarriage. I am still having good days and still some not so good days. Our next appointment with the doctor is June 9. The cravings come on the same as they did with Grace...I see something on tv or somewhere and I just need to eat it. I was reading a book the other night and it was talking about sugar dusted pound cake. Needless to say, I baked a pound cake yesterday. It's yummy.

Today was our last visit to the fertility specialists office. We got our first ultrasound and all looks great so they will be releasing us to the care of a regular OB. There is only 1 peanut in there and he/she measured 7.6cm. The heartbeat was a strong 144bpm. We will see our new OB (once we choose one) within 2 weeks for a follow up appointment. The peanut measured 7 weeks 3 days (not 7 weeks 1 day like we thought we were) so the due date has changed to January 10, 2009. Morning sickness, more like nausea, comes and goes. It's not too bad now and some days are better than others. I hope it doesn't get worse. Please keep us all in your prayers.
